A lifelong storyteller, designer and Detroit sports fan who also happens to be a diehard Boston Red Sox fan (proof that I can handle heartbreak and hope in equal measure).

Growing up, I was always writing - stories, notes, letters, anything I could put into words. My passion for storytelling eventually led me to college for journalism, where I set out to become a sports writer. I loved the thrill of the game, but even more, I loved the stories - the people, the emotions, the moments that made sports so special.

After several years chasing deadlines and box scores, I realized I wanted to connect with people in a more personal, lasting way. That’s what brought me to the private club industry, where I spent over eight years as a membership director - creating experiences, building relationships and trust, and finding new ways to bring people together.

Now, through Katie Evans Design, I’ve combined all the things I love most: creativity, storytelling and connection. Whether it’s designing an invitation that captures the excitement of your event or crafting a theme that tells your story, I believe the best celebrations feel just like a great game - full of heart, passion, energy, and unforgettable moments.

When I’m not designing you’ll probably find me at a ballgame (or yelling at one on the TV), exploring new restaurants around Detroit or spending time with my family.
